Etro

It is impossible to name Etro and not to think of paisley, an ancient and rich in symbolism pattern born in Mesopotamia and become today a distinctive element of the Italian Maison. The teardrop motif symbolizes the date palm bud, cnsidered the tree of life, and was also used by Indians to embellish hand-made fabrics and then reused on women's shawls in the nineteenth century. It was 1968 when a great travel called Gerolamo Etro decided to create a precious upholstery made of brightly colored silk, linen and cotton. More than fifty years have passed and Etro prints are now a real status symbol.
