Pierre Balmain founded his own fashion house in 1946. The brand soon became loved for its tailoring by proposing an uninterrupted exploration of femininity. At the heart of it all, the power-dressing concept: sequins, crystals and gold-tone chains adorn garments, bags, shoes and accessories. Fashion is conceived as an “architecture of movement” to dress the most modern women. In 2011 Oliver Rousteing was appointed creative director of the brand and, proposing a renewed vision, he brought Balmain in a new era: elegant and iconic at the same time, this griffe is perfect to dress stars. Kanye West, Beyonce, Gigi Hadid, Kendall Jenner and many other celebrities have not been able to resist it by joining the ranks of what has now been called Balmain Army.
