After Second World War Giuseppe Marenzi founded a waterproof coat company inspired by the Lake Maggiore's geography and weather. Working with this times Giuseppe managed to find ingenious solutions to improve the waterproofing of fabrics using castor oil. In the 60s was the cashmere coats and double-face products turn; later jackets, suits and women dresses. Details, style and diversification favored exports to Europe and worldwide. In 1971 Herno was among the first citalian ompanies open to the Japanese market by opening a boutique in Osaka while in the 1980s the business flied to the States. In the 2000s Herno passed into Claudio Marenzi, from then he goes on with his work dreaming to produce garments that cannot be replicated by anyone else!
