In 1965 Kenzo Tekada moved from the island of Honshu to Paris and immediately achieved great success. The designer breaks the scene with creations that blend the Japanese tradition with western streetstyle. The seventies and eighties were distorted by dresses with floral patterns, animal prints and particular textures, upsetting the classic Parisian style of those years. Vogue America will later publish the designs of Tekada, paving the way for the brand that will immediately obtain a great worldwide success. Collections for women, men and children offer items such as sweatshirts, jeans, t-shirts and accessories. The famous stylists Carol Lim and Humberto Leon introduced elements that today symbolize the brand like the roaring tiger. From 2019 Felipe Oliveira Baptista is the new Creative Director.
